On Saturday mornings, something very exciting takes over: Dragon Quest.
Dragon Quest is a bespoke, skills-based enrichment curriculum which promises something for everyone – from farm visits and yoga, to filmmaking and animation, first aid and debating through to classical history, orienteering and cultural exploration in Oxford. The opportunities are almost endless.
The programme is driven by three key principles:
Discover new passions from a range of cross-curricular activities and pursuits
Develop new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment
Dare to do something different, embracing the new opportunities that life has to offer.
Remember the Dragon mantra of reaching for the sun? Dragon Quest encourages students to do exactly that, all the while building stronger relationships with the Dragon staff who are sharing their passion and expertise, developing friendships with other Dragons and learning skills for life. Flexible and varied, the programme also helps meet the evolving needs of a busy modern family.

Harry Paget, Director of Quest
Quest is our Saturday morning smörgåsbord of co-curricular enrichment.
We offer a range of activities that enable Dragons to develop new skills and interests. Breadth is really important, and we encourage Dragons to try sessions from all our different categories: Quiet & Question, Understand & Create, Exploration & Adventure, Skills & Society, Train & Play. ConQuests take the whole morning and go off site, on trips such as cultural tours of Oxford, fly fishing and clay pigeon shooting. On site, there’s plenty of variety and expertise; Dragons can go from learning magic from a former Magic Circle vice-chair to bee keeping in our own hives. We’ve also listened to our Dragons and brought in Quests they’ve requested, such as girls’ rugby and remote control cars.
And Quest isn’t just for pupils – we also offer Quest Prime sessions for parents. They’re a great way to have fun and meet other members of our community.
