Introducing Jermaine Sharp

Dragon School provided me with my first taste of Oxford upon joining in November 2021 and I can say with some gratification that it is an honour to be part of such an illustrious organisation.

I grew up in Northamptonshire and went on to study Sports Science and Management at Nottingham Trent University. After graduating I moved into a managerial role within the education industry focusing on operational, commercial and estate management.

With a true passion for business, I decided to study for a master’s in Business Management alongside my school managerial role as I knew that this would further develop and enhance my skills and overall astuteness. Whilst studying for my Master’s I set up a training and development company and took up the role of Managing Director – being able to implement key elements from my master’s degree into the “real business world” was, for me, imperative in maintaining levels of success. Most recently I worked for The Harpur Trust in Bedford whereby I headed up an estate portfolio inclusive of an independent senior school, an independent junior school, residential flats and a boathouse.

In my spare time, I enjoy all things football, documentaries relating to either aviation or criminal justice, and quality time with my wife and three children.
