August ’24 saw the inaugural Dragon Drama tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – the largest Arts festival in the world. Performing every morning at 11am for a week’s run at the Fringe, this hugely talented group of 16 A and B Block pupils were simply outstanding. Their show ‘Behind the Curtain’ was written for the cast by four Dragon staff members: Mr CJ, Mr Morris, Mr Dickson and Mr Ponder, and it was brilliantly received by the Fringe public. Aside from performing daily, the cast spent many hours advertising their show on the Royal Mile and watching other shows at the Fringe. This was a truly wonderful tour which I know that the cast and crew will never forget. In the words of one of the show’s reviewers: ‘Cast enjoy every moment it will bond you forever and this experience will positively affect your confidence for the rest of your lives. Really well done!’.
