Dragon pupils come from near and far and we aim to do all we can to support families with their journeys to and from School. We are committed to promoting green and sustainable transport methods throughout our community wherever possible.

Local Dragon children are encouraged to walk to school and, given the popularity of cycling in Oxford, many pupils and parents come on their bikes. Both the Pre-Prep and Prep school have areas where bicycles can be stored safely.

Dragon Bus from London

We have introduced a Sunday evening bus service which leaves from Kensington and serves London-based boarders who have gone home for the weekend. In addition, there is an Exeat bus that runs from Oxford to London on the Friday afternoon of Exeats and half-terms.

Oxford Schools Bus Partnership

Dragon School is part of the Oxford Schools Bus Partnership which ensures reliable and safe transport to independent schools in Oxford from a wide area encompassing Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Young Dragons are safely escorted to and from the buses at Bardwell Road and each bus has a live tracking service so that parents can monitor progress against the timetable. Each route has a regular, friendly driver and younger children sit at the front of the bus with their friends.

The partnership consists of Dragon School, d’Overbroeck’s, Headington School, Magdalen College School, Oxford High School, Rye St Antony and Wychwood and works collaboratively to achieve the best transport solution for their pupils.

For full details of each of the routes and information and how to book via the OSBP app, please visit the OSBP website

It is possible to book return or one way (NB morning only on routes where the Dragon is not on the afternoon schedule costs 50%)

We are extremely happy with the service we get from OSBP. My son loves seeing his mates on the bus and the driver is an extremely good man who always waves and helps the children.
