We love sharing our happy faces, but we’ve decided to go faceless… why? To help keep our Dragons safe. 💛
__________
As part of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding, we’re making a considered change to how we share life at the Dragon, moving away from posting identifiable images of pupils on our social media channels.
Our children will always be at the heart of everything we do, and protecting their privacy and wellbeing remains a priority. As technology evolves, so too must our approach to safeguarding. Advancements in AI mean that images shared publicly online can be copied, manipulated or repurposed without permission, creating new risks for children’s privacy and safety. While no approach can eliminate every risk, we believe it is important to take meaningful steps to reduce exposure and strengthen the safeguards we have in place.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll begin rolling out changes across our social media channels, exploring alternative ways to capture the atmosphere of school life without showing identifiable faces. From everyday adventures and special moments to the curiosity, creativity and community that make our School so special, there will still be plenty of Dragon spirit to share.
Our website will follow in the near future as we extend this approach across our wider digital presence.
This isn’t about sharing less of what makes the Dragon special. It’s about finding new ways to celebrate our pupils, their achievements and experiences, while keeping their safety and wellbeing at the forefront of every decision we make.
