Life Before the Dragon
I was brought up in Marlborough in Wiltshire to parents whom were both teachers. I studied Environmental Design and Conservation at Oxford Brookes University before then joining the Dragon in September 2006.
What do you enjoy most about the subject that you teach?
I thoroughly enjoy exploring the world around me and encouraging children to do the same. Geography covers such a wide and diverse subject base that there are always new areas to learn about. The world is a constantly changing place and Geography allows me to introduce the children to these changes, engaging them through the use of a range of media tools on the latest geographical events no matter where they occur.
What do you enjoy most about the Dragon?
The Dragon is my first teaching job since leaving university and I have thoroughly enjoyed the interaction that I get with the children. Their inquisitive minds always keep me on my toes and mean that every topic will be different with each group of children. The energy of the school is something that I have not experienced in any other aspect of my professional life and each day brings something new.
