Religious Studies are taught as part of the creative curriculum topics where links can be made and as a discrete subject when this isn’t possible. Relevant issues are developed and discussed further in class assemblies, Pre-Prep assemblies and PSHEE/Circle Times.

The aim is for the children to grow in their understanding of Christian and World faiths, encouraging an attitude of mutual respect and an awareness of different views and opinions.

The lessons introduce the children to what messages holy books give us, how different faiths celebrate and how they are similar or different to each other. Discussion, questioning, story, drama and art are among the different approaches to the subject at this age.

At Dragon we delight in promoting understanding and learning about different World faiths from a young age. If we can equip our youngsters with a respectful appreciation of differing religious practices and voices we can hope to furnish them with a beautiful understanding of true spirituality.
