ICT is a fundamental part of the world we live in and children start familiarising themselves with a variety of equipment and media from the start of their time at the Pre-Prep.

We believe children need to know how to use the different tools at their disposal competently and to develop healthy and safe attitudes towards them as they mature. Each class uses the ICT suite and there is a selection of mobile equipment such as iPads, cameras, and programmable toys to support learning.

Staff use ICT to bring the outside world into the classroom while the children master research skills and extend their learning using interactive software and take the first steps into understanding coding.

Internet safety is a key strand to our ICT curriculum and parental workshops help to raise awareness in this crucial area.

Technology encompasses everything we do; it affects how we live, work, play, and most importantly how we learn. Children are taught to develop their ICT skills safely and responsibly, whilst still being inquisitive and curious learners.
