Extra Curricular Activities and Trips
As part of the school’s daily activities programme, pupils at all levels of their education take part in ‘Kitchen Chemistry’ as budding Heston Blumenthals and ‘Weird Science’ as an opportunity to look at some wacky Science experiments.
Year 4 pupils spend a day at the Natural History Museum and Botanical Gardens as part of their study of Living Things. They also spend a morning with reptiles, arachnids and insects as they explore adaptations in animals.
An interactive and visually stimulating lecture on Sound is attended at two levels by Year 5 and 8 pupils. Additionally, lectures are staged at school for Year 8 pupils, following Common Entrance and various Scholarship exams, extending their knowledge and understanding beyond the curriculum.
