Art Unleashed
In 2011, the Potential Art Scholars pro-
gramme saw 11 Dragons being offered an
art award to their senior school of choice.
An important part of the scholars’ year is
the annual trip to St Ives which Head of Art
Luke Osmond describes as “a real catalyst
for some, and an inspirational experience for
all.” The group returns energised, motivated
and inspired. “It’s like a freshly squeezed
palette of paint, soon to be transformed into
a unique artwork,” says Luke.
The programme culminates in the Art
Scholars Exhibition in the summer which
showcases the Year 8 work alongside work
from the whole school. In 2011 this show
was once again an explosion of colour,
shape and form.
