Congratulations to this year’s A Block (Year 8) who have gained an incredible 60 academic and specialist awards at leading senior schools – a record for the Dragon!
There are awards for Academic, Music, Drama, Art, DT and Sport at a wide range of schools from the local -(Headington, MCS, Radley and St. Edward’s) to further afield (Fettes, Repton, Oundle, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Brighton College and Wellington). Special mention must go to Leon who has been awarded the King’s Scholarship at Eton College and to Katya who achieved the Dove Academic Scholarship at Wycombe Abbey.
Emma Goldsmith, Head of the Dragon, comments: “We are delighted by the success of our 2022 scholars. It is remarkable that a year group of 136 has achieved 60 prestigious awards! This is testament to both the talents and hard work of these Dragons and the dedication and support of their teachers. I am sure that these young people will go on to make a very positive contribution at their senior schools and beyond and wish them all the very best.”
