Many of you will be used to seeing Mr Smith, Head of Woodwind and Instrumental Studies, behind a saxophone, but how many of you have seen him on a motorbike?
As a volunteer for the NHS blood bikes, he’s been busy collecting and delivering blood and plasma samples for testing across Oxfordshire, Bucks, Berks and Northants. Known as SERV (Service by Emergency Rider Volunteers), he’s part of a group of volunteers that transport samples from hospitals to pathology labs when urgent results are needed out of hours.
Thank you, Mr Smith!
