Green Travel Day
On Tuesday, 19th May, we had our very own 'Green Dragon Travel Day' to highlight the benefits of more environmentally friendly ways of getting to school. This coincided with the National 'Walk to School Week' and we were delighted to see that over thirty percent of our children decided to try a more eco-friendly mode of transport into school. The aim of the day was to ask the whole Dragon community to take action and travel to and from school by some means other than the car. Some pupils decided to walk, some to cycle and others to make use of public transport. Although some Dragons were unable to do this, they did take a positive stance by car sharing. Thank you to all those parents who helped to organise this and we hope that you will have another environmentally friendly travel day soon!
