Head of Music at Dragon Pre-Prep

Annie was born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She studied music at the Victoria Conservatoire of Music, going on to the University of Victoria, University of Toronto and then the Orff Institut and Mozarteum Universitie, Salzburg. Her first study instruments were violin and viola with piano as a second study and she gained teaching diplomas from both the University of Toronto and the Mozarteum Universitie. She has taught for a raft of organisations and has given individual violin, viola and piano lessons, directed choirs, orchestras and chamber groups and taught group music to all ages from ‘Mums and Tots’ classes to training teachers in Canada and England.

After playing in orchestras, chamber groups and teaching in various institutions in London, Canterbury, Abingdon and Oxford, she became ‘Assistant Director of Music’ at Dragon Prep from 1989 to 2000. She left the Dragon to pursue other teaching opportunities but returned in 2005 to take on the role of ‘Head of Music’ at Dragon Pre-Prep.
