Dragon School Oxford

The Dragon girls’ Judo team has had its most successful outing to the Independent Schools Judo Competition on record. In February, the Dragon brought home four medals from the event at the Wycombe Judo Centre. Ten girls represented the school in various weight categories, each facing a number of very tough opponents. One Dragon competitor made it to the final, beating all the opposition and ‘throwing’ them within a few seconds of each contest. She went on to win the Silver medal after narrowly being beaten by last year’s winner. The Dragon’s Judo coach, Mr Wilkins, said: “This has been our most successful girls IAPS Judo competition ever and we are looking forward to future events with these talented young Judo players.”
