Green Curriculum - Chicken Run IIJust before half term some of our boarding Eco reps took a trip to the Cotswolds Chicken Farm with Ma Stuart-Clark to choose the two lucky birds who will take up residence in the 5 star chicken house at Stuart-Clarks boarding house in Bardwell Road. After chatting with the Eco reps the owner helped the Dragons to choose two healthy birds: Coconut – an Amberley Gold and Caramel - a hybrid Rhode Island Red and Suffolk White. Their wings were gently clipped and then the birds transported to their new house. After a restful half term, Coconut and Caramel are looking very at home and are gearing up to lay their first eggs. Ma Stuart-Clark is standing by to scramble them…! |
