ICTAll children use the newly refurbished ICT suite at least twice a week. Their learning is also supported by the use of the classroom computers. The network is fully integrated with the Dragon system and all classrooms now benefit from having interactive whiteboards. The aim at Lynams is to improve and develop the children's confidence and dexterity with the basic skills of ICT and to use these skills in many other subject areas. Children safely access the internet as a resource and research tool, which is protected by the comprehensive school web filters. There is a range of software available to encourage the progression of communicating and handling information skills as well as controlling devices such as roamers and digital cameras. Cameras are used by the teachers and children to record evidence of the many varied learning opportunities happening within the school. The Gym, the Hall and the ICT suite are fully equipped with projectors and sound systems. |
