Dragon School Oxford

We are delighted to announce the opening of a new girls’ boarding house at No. 9 Charlbury Road. The house offers accommodation designed specially for Year 5 and Year 6 girls. The new house has been developed in response to strong demand for Dragon boarding amongst girls. With the new house, the school can now offer age-appropriate boarding to both girls and boys with junior, middle and senior houses for all boarding pupils. 

No. 9 is next door to Dewars, our junior house for girls, and linked to it by a bright new covered passageway. As well as spacious rooms and new facilities the house has a lovely garden which will be much used and enjoyed. The new house is already full and the girls are enjoying being the first occupants. 

Although boarding places are much in demand, vacancies can arise. If your daughter might enjoy boarding please do not hesitate to contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. As we have more boarding places for older girls we would particularly recommend boarding in Years 7 and 8 to those already in the school or other pupils wanting to prepare for boarding in a senior school environment. There are many benefits to every aspect of school life – and as the girls will tell you, it is also great fun.
