The invitation was very carefully worded ‘supper for Old Dragons at University in Oxford’. We were unable to find any ODs at Brookes, so if there are any of you up the hill, please let us know for the future.

This is the first supper for ODs at Oxford for some time and we were delighted that over 30 ODs accepted the invitation and made their way to Bardwell Road for the first half of the evening. It did not take long for the noise levels to rise and reminiscences to flow. Both staff and ODs present were reminded of both their funny and serious memories of earlier years.

After supper Desmond Devitt led the way to the ‘Rose and Crown’ where the party continued. The stragglers reported that the evening ended at ‘about 11.45’.

This event will act as the blueprint for future events at Cambridge and other universities. If you are at a university in the UK where there is a strong OD representation, please do contact the Development Office and we will try to organise a Reunion evening.
